“Research Notes” for Cardlytics $CDLX
Research Notes contain all the most important information I have collected while researching, investigating, analyzing, and thinking through specific businesses and certain aspects within the business. Today I am officially releasing my Cardlytics Research Notes.
Through the process of researching businesses, I collect an above-normal amount of notes (if you paste the Cardlytics Research Notes in Word, it is over 435 pages, and the soon-to-be-released Carvana Research Notes are over 152 as of today). Part of this is simply a function of how much time I spend on the companies that interest me (such as due to their significant return potential). In the time others spend researching more companies, I am spending the same amount of time (if not more) but only with one or two companies. This allows for much deeper research and more information. This has come from being obsessed about only a few companies, and being extremely curious to learn more. These notes share everything I have learned and found.
Research Notes, and specifically the Cardlytics Qualitive and Quantitative notes, are where I will continue to add additional notes, observations, and thoughts.
Some of the notes have never been made into official posts that are public to read, nor will ever be made public. Therefore access to this information is only within the Research Notes.
I have spent not only a significant amount of time collecting the information, but also a substantial amount of time organizing, cleaning them up, and adding more detail to ensure all paid subscribers get the most value possible from these notes.
“Research Notes” are available to all paid subscribers, both existing and new. I wanted to share this substantial amount of research material I have collected (such as my notes and thoughts I have never released) as a way to provide more value to those who are already paid subscribers.
I also wanted to create premium material to increase the number of paid subscribers of this channel. As the number of paid subscribers increases, the more research I will be able to do, both for existing and new businesses.
Currently Available Research Notes
Notes are split into Qualitative and Quantitative Research Notes, given I have hit the limit of content that will save in Substack (which likely reflects the amount of notes stored here).
435 pages of Research Notes are currently available for Cardlytics:
Cardlytics $CDLX: Qualitative Notes (277 Pages, 69,295 words)
Cardlytics $CDLX: Quantitative Notes (158 Pages, 48,973 words)
For more detail regarding the contents of the notes, either click the links above, or see the pictures below for the Table of Contents.

Pricing of Research Notes
Current prices reflect where I am comfortable sharing all my notes.
Also, the reason monthly and annual subscriptions are similar in price is due to knowing some may only want to purchase once to read, such as for one specific item. Therefore I made the annual price not too much more, creating a better deal for having access to updates within the existing notes (such as with Cardlytics) and all future notes (such as the upcoming Carvana notes).
Coming Soon Research Notes
Paid subscribers will have access to all Research Notes, including upcoming releases.
I have already put together the majority of the Carvana research notes. Currently at 152 pages if pasted in Word. I am currently working through cleaning up and organizing the content to release soon:
Carvana $CVNA: Qualitative Notes
Carvana $CVNA: Quantitative Notes

Access to Research Notes can be obtained by becoming a supporter here:
Group / Company Subscription (Discounts)
Buy a group subscription here. When setting up a group subscription, such as for your company or investment fund, an administrator can purchase X annual seats for the group. They can then add/remove/replace people in the organization who receive newsletter issues. Here’s how the user interface looks like for the group manager:
Invoices can be generated to expense groups and additional group members can also be added later on.
Group discounts: There are group discounts for groups of 4 or more seats, such as for your firm or company. If this applies to you, please subscribe here.
**Please Do Not Copy or Share to Non-Paid Subscribers**
I have worked extremely hard to research, analyze, think through, collect, and organize all of these notes. By sharing to others who are not a paid subscriber, it decreases the total paid subscriber count, which decreases the odds of me being able to spend more time researching existing and new businesses, and adding to these notes and creating future content that will be available to you.
If you know someone interested, feel free to add them to a group subscription, gift a subscription, or share directly from this post to give them the option to become a paid subscriber.
Thank you for your help and support!
